Hi everyone!

I'm an 19 year old guy from Sweden which has been crazy in strategy games ever since I was little. Up to this point it has especially been old ones which requires some kind of board but I have recently gotten into more modern stuff.
I managed to discover this intriguing game somewhere during the Christmas period last year and has been completely obsessed with it every since. Thinking about it, I have pretty much been playing on DN every day since I discovered it. Rolling Eyes
I still have left to buy cards, build a deck and make a debut in real life, I just need to figure out what deck to make!

Knowledge wise, I'm quite sure how the current meta-game and all the newer cards/decks works, but still lacks quite a lot about older ones. It would be really fun if you could play old formats on dueling network, but unfortunately they doesn't let you have 3x of any banned/semi/semi-limited cards. So right now I just have to be happy with reading about old decks and formats.

As a player I would mainly say I prefer to play control-based decks, so a common first turn play you will see by me will be:

1. Summon/set an annoying monster
2. Set 3-4 backrow
3. Tell the opponent: "Good luck"
4. End turn

I also don't like playing top tier or common decks in general and rather goes with something obscure and original.

I still don't know much about how an academy works so I obviously have to read up on it here in the forum. However as I understand it, you have the possibility to play more competitive yu-gi-oh here which I haven't really gotten to try yet. So I'm really looking forward to playing matches, tournaments and perhaps steal some brilliant deck ideas in the process! Wink

Primarily, welcome to academy.

You have to much to learn, playing duels, learning rules and rest. Yugioh is not a simple game, u have over 9000 cards, also u have many many combos, tactic, decks,... u must know that u cant became good player in just few weeks or month. Yugioh is a game that is taught and learn over again and again, because every month u have new a card on market. But u will learn all verry good quickly i think Smile
